PRESS RELEASE: Anthony rubinacci announces candidacy for vigo county council, district 2

I am excited and honored to officially announce that I have filed to run for Vigo County Council, District 2, as a Republican candidate.

District 2 covers 21 precincts, including key communities like West Terre Haute, New Goshen, Prairieton, Prairie Creek, and parts of downtown Terre Haute (precincts 1B, 1C, 1D, 2C, 2E, 5A, 5B, 5C, 5E, 6A, and 7D). I’ve called Vigo County home my entire life, and I’m committed to serving the people who live here.

My platform is straightforward and focused on what matters most to Vigo County families and taxpayers:

• Work to make Vigo County more affordable for everyone.

• Commit to being accessible and responsive to all constituents.

• Ensure fiscal responsibility as the county makes long-term decisions that impact our finances for generations.

I’ve grown up in West Terre Haute, attended Vigo County Schools, and earned my bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana State University. My deep roots in this community give me a clear understanding of our challenges and opportunities.

I’m running because I believe Vigo County deserves common-sense, conservative leadership that prioritizes taxpayers over bureaucracy. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous future for District 2 and all of Vigo County.
